Re: VDO idle control relay module. I need some help.
Thanks for looking into this. Yes part no.12 is what I need. Mine has blown. Inside the box is a circuit board with resistors, capacitors etc etc.

Re: VDO idle control relay module. I need some help.
As per other post you need an ECU not an ISU. Not sure about the part numbers, but Auto gear box ECUs are different from standard. T Thanks for the reply. I am getting confused? The ECU is fine I just need the Black box with the circuit board in. I have found an old post relating to this. http://ar...

I need the relay/module not the actual unit you are talking about. It is on the passenger side behind the rear light. Its a black box with spades on it.

VDO idle control relay module. I need some help.
I have had a huge electrical burn out. It has also blown my idle stabilisation relay and a new one is required. It seems these are rare things.
My part number is 251 907 393. I have managed to fine one but its 251 907 393A. Will this still work??

Re: Melted wire
Hi Thanks for the reply.
It is black with a white cable going into the same spade.
The wire runs into a black junction with a 53 relay. That then leads into the engine management.

Hi, I posted this on facebook but just wanted to double check. Whilst on holiday the black wire shown in the photo has melted away. The van wouldnt start afterwards and I believe it to be the fuel pump wire. Is this correct? Could this be it has shorted out and melted the wire? The wire then leads i...

Re: Battery hissing
It is all standard on my van from when first new. Whatever Westfalia installed. I don't think I have ever ran the van without a leisure battery before. Could the problem be that I should use a leisure battery? Not just the main battery. On a standard westfalia how does the hook up work? Is it suppos...

Battery hissing
Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything. I have an 1983 Westfalia Joker. All the wiring etc seems to be original. I have had this van for a few years and never heard this before. I went to a campsite and hooked up my van. After a 24 hours or so my main battery started hissin...
