It may be that the inner sleeve has stuck to the pin (corrosion most likely) and broke free from the rubber and is turning inside the bush. Of course it could be one of the other bushes that is squeaking.

First port of call would be the filter, just behind the tank on the drivers side.

That's for the built in charger, fraid there's no 240v out in a CF8, you'll need a consumer unit and RCD for that.

Depends on your Zig unit, if it has a 'mains' switch with a neon then it has a charger, common model no is the CF8 however there are some zig units that are only 12v distribution.

I think the filler your referring to is for the rear washer.

The swivel seats have a catch under the front of the seat ot release them.

Sounds like a swivel seat, have a look under the front of the seat for an extra lever which allows the seat to turn, mine gives more access to the 'battery box' when sideways but facing backwards with the seat fully 'back' (i.e. toward the windscreen) might work too.

If it's really the accelerator cable, I'd be checking the engine earth, sounds like it might be earthing the whole engine and carrying the starter current when cranking. Check the strap between the front gearbox mount and the body.

Ouch mine cost 8.50 but as long as it works.

I live and mainly camp in Scotland so it's money well spent against the dreaded midge :)
