Re: Sliding door rust questions

Thanks Roger and mm [emoji4]. Channel for rubber is good. Just wanted it out of way for painting. Door slide channel is also sound. Will paint and then seal. I imagine the over panel should prevent water ingress but plastic sealing strip is a bit brittle. Will try to get a better picture of undernea...

Sliding door rust questions

Hi peeps. Long time since I've posted, but only because we've been enjoying travelling in the van and all has been well. Doing some minor tidying on those rusty bits and have 3 questions 1. The sliding door rubber. Bottom bit. How is it fitted and how do I remove it without damage. I don't particula...

Carburettor Idle cut off Solenoid

Apologies for multiple posts. I do not appear to have any electrical power to the cut off solenoid or the throttle body heater. Ignition is just in position one. Will it only have power when I turn over the engine. If not where might the fault lie. Can’t make head nor tail of wiring diagram in Hayne...

Re: Spacer/Gasket Carb to Manifold

Many thanks David.
James Akers Video shows him adding a paper gasket but I'm not sure that this is necessary as none of the kits seem to have them.

Re: Pierburg 2E3

Thanks for helpful comments. Took the carb off and looked at it and failed to identify the reason for choke staying open. So have sent it off to get it rebuilt. I suspect long overdue and with price of petrol i’d like it performing at its best.

Re: Pierburg 2E3

Thanks @Stesaw Vehicle not been out and about much so fuel might be a little old but has a new petrol tank. That said carb has not been cleaned by me since tank replaced. Can I pop out the little filter in the inlet pipe to carb? Have to admit from all the reading still not fully understanding mecha...

Pierburg 2E3

Hi all - a topic done to death - but new to me. Just as Im heading offf for a trip my carb starts playing up. It keeps cutting out when first starting so have to keep revs up and keep slipping the clutch. It seems to run better with the air filter disconnected. 1991 water cooled 1.9 engine. But in a...

Re: Best wind out awning for high top T25

I have a fiamma awning and fixed to gutter. Very pleased with it although as stated above you have a gap that lets in rain. I did not go for a wind out one as they are heavier.

High top - what weight can I put on roof

I have a 1991 T25 high top auto sleeper.
it has a little storage area on top with rail, but seems a little flimsy.
what weight could I put on this space.
I would like to put a 17kg bag up there.
can it take the weight?
thanks

Rear Seat Belt

Lots of posts on this and have read many. My daughter wants to use the van at the end of this month and has a 5 month old baby so I need to fit 3 point seat belt on near side rear seat. Van is 1991 Autosleeper hitop with original seat on wooden base (not a rock and roll bed). In that it has lap belt...

Re: Leisure Battery overheating need urgent advice please

Thanks that’s a great help. Will isolate the live terminal, probably will wrap it as I won’t be sure it’s properly isolated with out being able to check in person, until I can find a new battery. I think the solar panel won’t know it’s there so hope it won’t start sending it a charge. Sent from my i...

Leisure Battery overheating need urgent advice please

Daughter just taken VW T25 campervan down to West Country. Arrived at midnight and phoned to say funny gas smell. Traced it to leisure battery which was very Hot to touch. She has disconnected it and put it outside and gone to bed. There is some liquid in the battery compartment. If she goes on with...
