Broken fuel and coolant temperature gauges
Hi there. My fuel and coolant temperature gauges keep cutting out. I'll be driving along and suddenly both these will drop to zero. Because they both happen at the same time I assume both the coolant temperature and fuel levels are fine, and when I turn the engine off and on again the needles usuall...

Gas problem
Hi all.
For some reason the gas one one of my two stoves and my grill has stopped working. Bizarrely, one of the stoves still works fine. Is there any way I can test why this might be? I have a calor gas canister feeding the unit, going through an isolation switch.
Cheers.

Re: Temporary fix for s damaged high top
Dont be shy show us a picture  I'm to embarrassed to post the images The thing is, it's under gaffer tape now, so I'd have to take that off to show you the damage, but I'd need to put the slightly-more-permanent fix on straight after. Someone at work mentioned a 'sound deddon pad'. Has anyone...

Temporary fix for s damaged high top
Hi. Like a proper idiot I drove my high top into a low-hanging duct in a car park. I'm to embarrassed to post the images but the fibre glass is badly damaged and you can now see sky from the inside. Can anyone recommend a material I can use to botch this up? I suppose I'm looking for something water...

Re: New User (with questions!)
I've got 'Hans' booked in with East Dulwich Campers. I'll pass on a review of the service. That'd be useful, that's my local VW garage so it'd be nice to know what they are like. Fingers crossed they get you sorted and back out on the road soon :ok Hi. I've just had the camper back. It's difficult ...

Remove the two screws on the base of the mirror.Look under the bracket. There is a 10mm nut.Tighten this up.Not too tight mind.See how it goes on your next run.If its still loose repeat the the above. You can see the nut on this picture. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v211/ROB183/vdub%20stuff/DOOR...

Re: Coolant system
It sounds like you have a similar problem to me. Topping up the coolant reservoir under the hatch at the back doesn't add coolant to the main coolant tank. Despite having a full reservoir the coolant level was too low. When adding coolant recently I had to raise the hatch above the engine and add co...

In future I hope to be able to take care of more minor maintenance myself, but first off, he needs the help of a professional.

Thanks. Can anyone say whether £50 an hour on labour is a reasonable figure?

Re: New User (with questions!)
I don't doubt that, meggles, and am very grateful for the advice. I've only owned a vehicle for about a week and I've already learned a lot. Though just the basics, of course.
I couldn't find a Riverside Autos in Plumstead. Do they have a website?

Re: New User (with questions!)
Hi. Thanks for the replies. The East Dulwich Campers outfit looks like it might be very useful. I'll call them tomorrow. I've provisionally booked the van in with Jack's in west London. Does anyone know this outfit? Sure enough, the first long distance drive in the van, and it packed up. The coolant...

New User (with questions!)
Hi everyone, I am a new owner of an F-reg beige T3 camper. I wanted to introduce myself - as this seems like a really useful place to get to know - and solicit a few questions, if I may. First things first, I know absolutely nothing about cars, and even less about campervans. This is the first motor...
