Congratulations Mr Hutch if you were running a Diesel it’d probably be in tip top condition & running lovely but I’m not to sure about yours JonB

Have a look at your leak off pipes if air gets in or fuel escapes it can be a real pain to start ,just had a issue with mine ,one of my pipes felt damp, in the end one of spouts going in to the top of the injector wasn’t fully home.

This type of response happened to me early this week, people seem to be very prickly these days !

The crank pulley bolt could of worked lose & then rocks on the key waring half the key away about a tooth are more,ask me how I know ?

there's a c-clip that holds the outer cable firmly to the rubber grommet ,remove this clip & slide the out cable towards the front of the van that then allows you to crush the rubber grommet .

That cylinder head looks well passed it's best,I've just fitted a remanufactured jx engine from AW Engineering in Darwin (great guys who really no there stuff) first time i've done a job like that too.
well happy just done 300kmh of the run in, starts on the button no smoke & pulls great.

worn engine,compression drops when your engine gets warm?
do a compression test .

well just one more problem if someone can help looks like I'm getting oil coming from the LDA possibly though the boost pipe,engine pulls well for a jx

If it's not charging the batteries it could be the 2 amp fuse,the one on top of the BBB.First place that I'd look at is changing that?

Brickwerks just order one myself under a tenner?

hope you can shed some light on my my issue,just about to change my crank pulley on a 1.6 td jx is it ok to just put the van in gear and tighten the pulley nut,or can it cause any problems with the gear box?
