Antifreeze
As my van is new to me this year (1.9 DG) and the tester isn't showing a lot of antifreeze in it I am going to flush and antifreeze, I have bought my anti freeze from euro car parts and have looked at the wiki and I must say it sounds like a pig to bleed, I have 8 litres of antifreeze which sounds a...

Ignition Timing
My van (1.9 DG) has had a slight misfire at low revs, today I checked the timing with a timing light and it was slightly out, I adjusted (groove in pulley to engine case join) and it seems to rev clearer but does have a little pop from the exhaust when rolling to a stop which makes me think the timi...

Re: Is this T25 a good buy?
I've offered him 7.5k which he accepted. I'm diving right into the deep end of van ownership and looking forward to swimming (hopefully). Thanks for the comments and for looking. Now that is quite funny as any rust under the window screen rubber and you would literally be swimming, I found that out...

wet foot well
with all this rain I now have a VW fish tank, the question is do I remove the screen and see the damage or use as is for a while to get a bit of use. I have fitted screens to other cars in the past but are these any different, are they difficult to get back in using the rope method, also worried abo...

Re: Right hand side noise 1.9DG
They like running and HATE and I mean HATE being parked up .... it's what makes them a living thing, unlike a soul-less plumber's van :rofl Ian if mine is a living thing I would say a stroppy teenager, for the past week every time I fix one small fault I find another or something else plays up for ...

Right hand side noise 1.9DG
I have been working on my van for around a week and it has been started almost every day but not run for long but today the right hand side sounds like a tank, I understand that the followers are hydraulic, do you think a run may cure this fault or could I cause any damage, mileage on the van is jus...

Re: Clutch
all appears to be seated correctly and I drove it 30 miles earlier but still has a pressure fault, if pumped it seams o.k but press the peddle a bit slower and its not pushing down on the arm far enough, definitely no visible leaks and clear fluid coming through.

Re: Clutch
Yes clear fluid now, have bled it a few times locking the nipple off before the pedal is lifted each time.

Clutch
I have replaced my slave cylinder as it was weeping, I have bled the system and what came out was completely black but I now think my master cylinder may be knackered, if you push the pedal down pretty quick it moves the arm for the clutch o.k but if you push down slow it has less movement and you c...

Split charge relay
I have been playing about with the van today and have found the split charge relay to be fried, the relay on it is an old Halfords split charge for fridge and aux battery, I have looked in wiki but was wondering if someone can tell me if the relay in the below link is suitable. Thanks Pete http://ww...
