Re: Distributer refitting
All sorted, fitted and running
took some wiggling to get the distributor to locate properly
running sweet again, so now I just need to clean and check over ready for a MOT

Re: Distributer refitting
Yep, tried that.
Pretty sure with the fuel pump off it will be easier
Just need to get that done, then off for MOT...

Re: Distributer refitting
I've decided that as I had never replaced the whole distributor it was probably due another one.. Delivered today, just had a go at refitting.. Once I got the flywheel to TDC I tried to get the new distributor in, but as it's new it's really tight.. Will retry with the fuel pump off, it's quite diff...

Distributer refitting
I'm having a bit of a nightmare, removed the distributer from my 1.9 DG and fitted a new Hall Sender unit.. I'm now trying to refit the distributer, but it won't make a good contact with the drive in the engine block, I get it bolted down, but upon turning over the engine the rotor arm doesn't turn ...

Re: Keeping awning dry on the roof
It's a Kyham Motordome sleeper, so quite long even when packed, the dimensions I needed is around 1.5m long by 45 wide and high.. So it's a funny shape.. I've been in touch with Alpkit and Musto to see if they could make a drybag that big.. Sadly not as they not have a machine big enough to seal it....

Keeping awning dry on the roof
I want to try to keep the awning dry whilst its stowed on the front of the van, been looking about for giant drybags or big stowage bags... Not had much luck though
Any advice on what others use would be great!

Re: Soundproof/carpets
I used a soundproofing product called FatMat to cover the whole inside if the van when it was completely empty. It cost around £300, bit made a hell of a difference, it even has insulation properties!

Stopover near Reims?
We're setting off on our first ever tour of Europe soon and wondered if anyone had spent the night near Reims? We could really do with a hookup as I'm keen to keep the fridge nice and cold
And suggestions would be great
Cheers
