I've been having this trouble. the previous one was glued up so I didn't realise I had a magic piece in there until I bought a replacement and I only managed to open the window about 2 inches before the handle whacked the window and would go no further. Took the other side off to have a look and now...

he should tell you if there has been a problem with it.

It may also be years of guff cleaned off the inside of your tank. This seems to be something that is mentioned a lot with biodiesel - I've never experinced it having only used straight oil which is not so caustic.

Well, I think I have some pie of the humble variety to eat... The fuel coolers are in the fuel return lines of the PDs - no question. but it is not just for safety reasons... Here is a quote from page 1.17 Haynes manual on diesel engines. Regarding pump injectors (PD)... "Because of the extreme...

In response to your questions Camper, I am not heating the diesel. I have a twin tank system so I start on cold unheated diesel with a small filter between the tank and the IP. the return goes to the small diesel tank. A jerry can in the void behind the battery. When warm I then switch my 6 port pol...

The fuel coolers are on the PD engines after the pump... the pressures in the fuel system are seriously high and as a result the fuel gets extremely hot and it needs cooling before being returned to the tank.

Nooooo. that's the whole point... you don't do anything mods, you break the pump. you do a couple of small mods it runs as reliably as it does on diesel - ie no broken pumps or any other damage. same performance and consuption etc and no fuel hose rotting as other posts seem to suggest (that would b...

I prefer the option which is far better for the environment - to filter used cooking oil from your local pub, canteen etc. I find it much easier than buying bottles or tins of new oil would be.

It's OK to run the diesel through the heated filter. Years of testing has shown that the loss of lubrication is not an issue for the pump. You need to bear in mind that if it is a standard heated filter will have a thermostat in it to shut down the flow of water to the filter unit when the temperatu...

the slight mods required are described on my website... www.biotuning.co.uk essentially for a twin tank kit, this is a fuel select valve, a heated filter, heat exchanger and a second tank plus all associated fuel and coolant hose, fittings etc and the electrics required for the valve. these parts (l...

Yes, this is correct - so if you collect used oil from your local pub etc and filter it, you get free fuel. And the T25s run very well on it with a few small mods.

Anybody interested in a cheap vegoil conversion?

There is a good chance that my friend Stephan, author of the book "The Edge of Veg" and long time T3 vegoil mechanic will be coming over from Germany next week (first week of October) and he has asked me to see if anybody is interested in getting their T25 / T3 converted to run on vegetabl...

Well, that's the same as before the change. you're legally obliged to tell them - you'd be breaking the law if you produced more than 2,500litres per year and didn't register.
