Hampshire lass needs a look at ur engine

If there is anyone in Hampshire who has swapped a 1.6d for a 1.9d 1y engine I would love to see it & have a chat
As I will be doing engine swap on mine soon & would appreciate any tips or advice

1.9d or 1.9td

Got a chance of getting either 1.9d or 1.9td to replace my worn out 1.6d. Both will fit my t25. Jus wondering how much more work is needed to put turbo one in rather than non turbo one. Is it a lot more work. Got a 1.6d 4 speed at the moment

High top sealent leak help

The sealent on my high top roof has shrunk consequently it leaked inside rear ns over the weekend. Woken to gentle sounds of dripping what's best sealent to use to re seal the ole girl

mechanic on south coast

I am looking at swapping my 1.6d for a 1y 1.9d and am looking for mechanic near me who I cod.get advice etc from in doing this. Based in Southampton. I an not a complete virgin with a spanner but also not a whizz kid. May have found donor engine already

So coming home tonight I suddenly realised it was a bit dark where the headlights should be illuminating the road ahead. So jumped out of trusty rusty and had a look at the headlights. Accelerator pedal sticky call international rescue !!

I have an accelerator pedal that sticks open and so feels and sounds like I constantly over revving engine. Did squirt lub at base. Made small difference but prob still there. am level here. too scared try gas hate it worried drain battery if put on 12v its electrolux looks like a 212 model. i dont have leisure battery fitted. plug had new fuse yesterday so head scratching time :roll:

hot salad

fridge worked last week now not for some reason. have electric to the sockets and changed plug fuse. any ideas u brain boxes out there. and yes i have changed switch over the electric supply on fridge :ok
