Re: Air intake
To be honest I don't need it. It runs fine without but like I say it's just annoying me that it's missing. OCD I guess

Air intake
Hi guys, I have had my van some time now and when I bought it there wasn't an intake hose fitted from the Rear Pillar duct to the air box. I have been on the lookout for one for ages now as for some reason it really bugs me everytime Im in the engine bay that it's not there, does anyone know if they...

Starter motor on the way out
My 1.9 dg vans starter motor clicks when I turn it over intermittently. If I crank it a few times it eventually kicks the starter into life but this is becoming ever more frequent and want to get it sorted before it packs up completely. I have looked at all the usual outlets for a replacement and mo...

Re: Removing windows
You can buy complete panels which will do it but they're quite pricey. Cutting out the rust and welding on a custom piece to fill the whole aperture would be another option but you're going to need to be pretty skilled to get a near perfect result. Yes I did look at buying complete panels but at £4...

Removing windows
My 1.9 dg has rust scabbing all round the windows of my van. I'm presuming that this was caused by a previous owner cutting Windows into the panels of the van and not priming or zinc coating the steel before fitting the Windows. My question is how easy is it to patch up the window holes and restore ...

Re: Leisure battery capacity
Thanks Guys,
My worry came from a friend of mine who has t4 and decided to fit a 150ah (I think) battery. This fried his alternator as it wasn't man enough to charge both batteries. In the end he shelled out £500 for an uprated alternator which solved his issue.

Leisure battery capacity
Hi guys, I'm looking at wiring a split charge relay kit and leisure battery to my 1.9dg but I'm not quite sure what size (ah) battery to go for. For obvious reasons I want to get as big as possible and the place I have in mind for it has more than ample space to cater for a larger battery. My query ...

My friend runs a body shop in Merton near Wimbledon. Very good shop who does anything from a 1929 model A ford to an Aston Martin DB9.

Re: Changed pushrod and now won't start.
Ok now I feel a little stupid! Yes m8 washers are indeed go under the two m8 bolts, then urika she fired! But sadly she dies if I don't keep the throttle up. It also sounds a bit ropey too. Would I be right in assuming a rod isn't seated properly?

Changed pushrod and now won't start.
Hi guys. I have a slight issue with my 1.9dg not starting after changing a leaking pushrod tube for an adjustable one. The only reason for not starting as far as I can see is that when I took the rocker arm off, 2 small washers fell off with it. I have no idea where they came from so I put them on o...

Re: Any ideas what wheels these are?
The ones in your first picture are not the same as your last picture. No I know they are the same as the ones in CJH's photo after. I knew they were very much like a Porsche wheel which I had seen before but I wasn't sure if these were the ones or a copy. After finding out the name of the RH Alaud ...
