JK Big Bumpers

has anyone used the JK big bumpers? i fancy upgrading mine but they all seem really expensive for a bit of plastic
any ideas out there?

just got back from my hols in dorset where we spotted an amazing yellow striped white high top camper near Corfe Castle (great campsite on Norden Farm)
are they out there on the forum? i would love some pics to think about a similar paint job

i pay £20 per month for 6 months over the winter in a farmers barn and SORN the van saving 6 months car tax - so actually works out reasonable

the watercap key either locks or unlocks the outer casing so when you have it locked in it will just spin round without engaging the mechanism if that makes sense. may need some wd40 to get it spinning freely no idea what the vwkey does either- my 3 year old son ribs me about it all the time- "...

it has taken some time but finally sorted the hot starting problem - a new fuel pump
wasnt cheap but now starts first time everytime hot, cold or warm
messed around with glow plugs, sensors, relay kits etc all to no avail
happy camping this summer :D

i have the JK spacemaker
it is pretty solid- survived gales in the lakes but takes some time to put up~ 45mins on your own and is quite big and bulky when packed down. a bit of a bummer when you arrive somewhere and would rather just sit down with a beer. however lots of space and well designed

i am having the same problem- starts fine form cold most if the time when hot but if warm doesn't want to know. have ended up having a few hour breaks rather than just 30mins on a recent trip back from the lakes. if you get to the bottom of it please let me know. i was just about to order a new star...

we have the just campers awning- mighty fine - just survived a gale in the Lakes but it takes me an hour to put up- endless pegs etc. a bit annoying when you really just want a beer after arriving at your new site

one key seems to do all for my westy- the diesel/water/gas are the same one.
i have several keys that seem to do nothing- they won't fit any lock i can find on the van!
