Re: Clutch cable

I did the same some time ago.
I wouldn't have bothered if I hadn't been changing the engine and in hindsight I don't think it was worth the effort and expense.
Cable operated clutch was equally problem free.

Re: Aircooled exhaust replacement

Not sure about power difference. Only ran this engine with this set up never tried the heat exchangers.

Re: Aircooled exhaust replacement

When you remove the heat exchangers the hot air from the tubes goes straight up to your rocker covers.
I made some heat shields that fit between.
Not sure if there is an off the shelf solution.
The other drawback is heating.
I use a webasto.

It should.
The reservoir is separated internally.

Had the same issue.
I used one for mk2 jaguar that I found on ebay.
Works fine.

Looking good Roger, hope that swing arm hangs straight, the welds look too good to grind off!

Re: Anyone know a good welder? North East.

Andy, the problem with "specialised" work is that the people who are genuinely good don't need to advertise. I have a rusty old van which I love and have spent disproportionate amounts on. I have been let down and ripped off by "welders" twice. You are better off spending your mo...

Hopefully only the mounts need done. On mine the arms had dissolved, as you may remember.

Re: Cabin Heaters, Diesel powered, new Chinese ones = any good ?

I can do kits for mounting under the rear seat or the bottom of a cupboard. I don't do them for underslung ones though other than for replacements for the factory fit Eberspächer - D2L/B2L models as you then have a suitable underfloor box and ducting. This was a new old stock 24v converted to 12v b...
