just seen the pics! So can you tell thats a DG just from that pic of it on the stand? And the engine in the video is a different engine, although in my van and thats the ancillaries i would have used on the rebuilt engine (although not now as they are DF) i can either go DG Manifold carb etc or afte...

yes mine has early cooling system where as smiffo has the late

ahhhhh yes my FB pics, i don't have access to FB out here so cant remember the exact pics but yes the engine on the engine stand is the one i'm rebuilding.

haha yes that me, sorry paul. I come up with ideas and think out loud alot!! so my missus send me some pics, i can just make out the number 025101375C So i have DG heads at least :) I will ask the machine shop to confirm the case no. today. Hi all you helpful lot, What carb have i got? Pic wont load - Stamped on the side is - SOLEX 34PICT-5 It came on the van when i got it, been told its off a bay, so assuming its not the correct one for my engine i guess im in need of the correct one? Best place to look? 1983 T25 1.9 Petrol DG W/C

Ok I'll get some shims and re measure

Brought the engine with a supposed rebuild but no proof and it's now questioning the quality of the rebuild if the end float play hasn't been set

Seems to move quiet a bit currently but as I say that's without shims seal or flywheel

How much play should there be with shims and fly wheel removed

Seems to move quite a bit so don't wanna no spend money on shims etc if there's a deeper lying problem
