TD engine. 'Id go for 35mpg average but never less than 30mpg. Its excellent given the weight+ rubbish aerodynamics+ all the crap I load it up with. Tre mendous.

following on from my previous post, Grahma had one but it had a stone chip, damn......
Im after a good windscreen. If anyone is going to vanfest I live 7 miles off J7 M5 (the vanfest turn off). Mines still in one piece but best to get one as it will go at some point.

windscreen cracked
bugger and stuff....got a nice slow moving crack in my windscreen. Anyone in the Midlands know of a van being broken that I may get a windscreen from. Or...should I just wait till it goes and phone my insurance ??

what do you mean, came to a halt. Broke down halt of just decided to stop and check halt?.
I lost all my oil after a pipe broke. I refilled it and its all ok. I guess so long as it goes, its ok. Simple logic but works for me !!!

no real prob but some advice needed. Goes as follows....wait till glow plug light goes out but forget to turn key and start van, turn off, turn on and then wait again for light to go out, turn key, nothing happens. I have a 1.6td. Oil up the back can be caused by a leak as the oil will leak down to the sump ( lowest point ) , it will then get blown or sucked off ( oooher! ) the sump and into the swirling air behind the camper and hence up the back. reading what is required to drive in france it seems to state that rear seat belts are compulsory. Is this the case that they are compulsory if fitted ?. I have no rear belts in my 86 transporter and there will be 4 adults and 2 children travelling, all seated. what should I do ?.

hellooo, well I had my 1.6TD fitted with a vege engine that i bought from them with new injector and plugs. The engine was all set up and ready to go when supplied. how long should the glow plug light be on for from cold start.Mine seems to be on for abt 10 seconds before going out, is this right ?. The engine and plugs are all new so i guess this is right and have obviously been spoilt by my modern diesels, lol....
