Re: automatic choke?

Hi kevtherev, I'm pretty sure the fuel lines are ok (certainly no obvious leaks or drips), perhaps a better explanation would be it smells like it's running rich?, I'll take a look at your posts. Cheers Matt

Re: automatic choke?

Hi, thanks for the reply and for answering my auto choke query. I've had the van for over a year, and this has always been an issue. I managed to nurse it through last winter as it was fairly mild, I had the van serviced by a local garage in the spring and mentioned the issues I was having, they sai...

automatic choke?

Hi, my 1983 1.9 watercooled petrol T25 allegedly has automatic choke, not that I've noticed it. I've been informed by various friends that it is actuated by either one or two depressions of the accelerator prior to starting, can anyone confirm this for me?. At the moment regardless of how many press...

Re: heater motor replacement

Thanks for all the help guys, it has not gone too badly, only sheared one bolt and everything now works. However on reconnecting the dashboard instrument pod, all the switches work but I've got no lights for indicator, oil, battery, high beam, and the fuel and temp gauges are not registering anythin...

Re: heater motor replacement

Thanks for the replies guys, things are moving along and I've got a couple of questions that hopefully someone may be able to help with?. I've got the dash off and am faced with the black plastic heater assembly in the centre of the bulkhead (as seen in the images on the wiki description of this job...

heater motor replacement

Afternoon all, I'm about to try and replace the heater motor in my 84 camper, I've been doing a bit of reading on the site and the wiki section and just wondered before I start has anyone got any positive experiences associated with this job?. All I can find is tales of woe, and to be honest it's le...

Re: strange contraption in my fridge exhaust flue

Thanks Oldiebut goodie that's definitely the thing, i'll leave it in!. One more thing, the images you've helpfully attached seem to stress that it needs to be correctly positioned does that mean that I shouldn't have pulled it out, or is it just referring to it's height within the flue defined by th...

strange contraption in my fridge exhaust flue

Hi, I've recently taken the electrolux 3 way fridge out of my camper to give it a bit of a clean after 20 years of not really being used very much. I found a piece of stiff wire with a finger loop, attached to a narrow twisted piece of metal sitting neatly inside the exhaust flue of the fridge, shou...

newbie with oil warning light issue

Hello all, brand new member here and my first post is a technical query, how many times has that happened!. I'm hoping that someone here will be able to point me in the direction of a previous post or inter-web answer to my issue. I have a 1984 1.9 water-cooled petrol T25 camper in which the oil war...
