How did you go about bending up the repair piece? Did you do it in one piece or weld together a jigsaw of bits?

Re: C-post repair

Thanks for the link - very detailed, but it's the actual fabrication of the part that I'm asking about rather than the repair to the bus. I'm working on the drivers side of a RHD bus so no slider here - the c-post is buried behind the rear arch panel and it quite a complicated shape! I'm a bit of a ...

Re: C-post repair

Yeah I've tried that dude but the search function isn't my friend today! Any pics of the process would be great tho! I've had a look at the bay restoration manual for inspiration by it's not in depth for this bit! B post no problem but c-post seems forgotten?!

Re: Auspices of air cooled! Help me start her! 2.0 CU

i have set the valve initial clearance (hydraulic) and replaced the starter bushing. The engine spins much better now (it's out of the van currently) but it is not attempting to start. I have spark and I have fuel when I drop it down the carb neck, but it's just backfiring and popping through the ca...

Auspices of air cooled! Help me start her! 2.0 CU

Gents and ladies. I need some advice in starting my van for the first time. I have refreshed the engine with new gaskets, checked and measured everything and reassembled as per the HBOL. I have also fitted an SVDA dizzy, along with new plugs, leads, coil, cap and rotor arm. This was installed follow...

Alternative seat question

Hi guys, Potentially a bit of a newbie question.... Done a quick search but not found the specific information I'm after - hopefully somebody might know. I'm fitting MGZR seats in the front of my bus - I intend to use the Rover subframe and I'm wondering if there is anything stopping me welding this...
