Hi I’ve got a Danbury side opening van, I’ve just put new struts etc on. I’ll take the cover off at the weekend and take some pictures. I’ll also check what struts I’ve got and let you know. If your local you could pop in and take a look, I’m in Essex

Hi all checked connections all seem ok , jumped started van and tested , got 12 v at battery, so I think I’ll try new brush pack and let you know. Thanks for your help

Yes that’s where I was going to look , it had a new alternator just before I got it, I’ll check all the connections tomorrow when I can see.
Totally daft question is the rev counter wired from the alternator

Afternoon all, owned an air cooled for years and always found great advice on here. Recently bought another t25 an lle 1.6 td needs a bit of love but structurally sound , mechanics also ok as had a new engine 50,000 miles ago. Electrics not so good , been usable up to now but this weekend started ok...

Ask your gas man to try a reputable plumbers merchant , they should stock what he needs or a place that supplies parts for gas fires as these are 8 mm also. Hope you get it sorted

Finally found the cause, stuck float in carbs not letting any petrol through. I didn't think to look there as carbs where refurbished only recently , my own fault as I assumed they would be ok , running ok now so fingers crossed for mot next week , thanks for all help

Hi no not had distributor drive out only changed distributor for new one. I have a spare carb so might change that also to see if it makes a difference.

Hi yes leads are right 1 to 1 etc. Watched your video before my number 1 seems about 90 degrees different to the video. Will check tappets tomorrow

Checked for leaks all seams tight, leads on correct 1-4-3-2 firing order. Tried different rotor arm and cap , made no difference, will get new leads tomorrow and try that, having problems with pictures but will keep trying.

Hi, not touched valves and it's got new distributor , leads , plugs etc. Electronic distributor that just connects to coil , sorry not sure what correct items are called , will try and sort pics tomorrow
