Re: AAZ rattling noise

Thanks.That's one I haven't tried.

It is getting worse so may be easier to diagnose. I just hope I can do so before something nasty happens!!

I wonder if a broken shock spring in the clutch would cause a loud rattle.?

AAZ rattling noise

Put a good AAZ engine in my Doka earlier this year. It runs well and pulls well even when loaded. No smoke to speak of. There is quite a distinct chattering rattle when accelerating. There is a slight knocking when at standstill but problem is most obvious when crawling up a hill in 2nd. Of course i...

Re: Window keeps dropping!!

Thanks for the tip.

I've had to reassemble it a few times and found that removing the various 10mm bolts helps a lot.

I wasn't sure who might have parts so cheers for that

Window keeps dropping!!

A bit random I know, but infuriating. My drivers side (lhd) window keeps dropping . There must be a clip missing from the square shaped plate that moves along the cable to raise and lower the window. Also there must have been some nylon bushes for the runners which are also missing. Not the end of t...

Re: Clutch - just checking

Oh you'll know me when you see me!! No photo (I'm not that technically advanced) but the local mountain bike lads know it as 'Big Green'. Diesel Doka generally loaded either with DH bikes or firewood!! BTW I think you'll find I know a bit about how your van came into the country! (Got you thinking?!...

Re: 12v compressor: anyone used this one?

Could any of the compressors mentioned be used to seat tyres? I have a dunlop 12v inflator but could do with something with a storage cylinder to give a good blast of air to seat tubeless downhill mountain bike tyres? These seem to need a surprisingly good blow to get them to seat!!

JX turbo inlet pipe

Does anyone know if a replacement is available for the offset air inlet pipe which clamps on the JX turbo?

Thanks.

Yes a hi lift jack is next on my shopping list. I've seen them put to good use by some of the landrover lads round here.

Wonderful Tirfor

Thought I'd re-open a can of worms re winches!! I managed to completely sump out my doka whilst delivering materials to a hedgelaying job. A green lane with a huge puddle which disguised a deep ditch .Both nearside wheels went in and there we sat in spite of difflocks. There was nothing stron...

That's really useful. Thanks.

Re: AAZ turbo vacuum pipes

I only get suction when I rev the engine. Air filter is good. So the LDA works with positive pressure pushing the diaphram down. Maybe I need to double check whether inlet manifold union is blowing or sucking! The turbo union did confuse me since I didn't recall it being connected to anything when i...

Re: AAZ turbo vacuum pipes

Many thanks both.

Inlet manifold to LDA was how I had it on the previous engine. Oddly enough when I put turbo to inlet manofold it seemed to pull better (or maybe I just had the wind behind me)..All a mystery to me!

Cheers

Re: AAZ turbo vacuum pipes

Thanks for that. My pump has an LDA and I've fitted a more aggressive boost pin. I know that when I rev the engine there is suction through the small union on the inlet manifold. I had the LDA connected to this before but now that I've been told that the turbo needs to be connected to the LDA I've g...
