Russell is more of an expert at this than I will ever be, If the TDi is later than 1994 it will most likely have a Immobiliser in the ECU. 1) Get the key + transponder that matches the ECU(even better get the intrument cluster as well as most of them hold a 4 digit pin that you use to code a new set...

The last 2 Syncro jx diesels we got in from Germany read 10km/hr over the actual speed which was verified by 2 different GPS devices. I fitted 215/85 X 15 tyres and it brought the speedo in line with the actual speed. I spoke with my contact in Germany and he reckons it is normal. I can only assume ...

hello, has anybody been able to figure out how to bypass the immobiliser on a 1Z ecu, for example in the case that the ignition key is missing.
