What manufacture parts, pistons, barrels, heads lifters ect should I be speccing to get my tired old 1.9 l back up to par,whether I consider building it my self, or giving it out to a shop. Quick look for parts on the web seems to me to be more cheap tat available than reputable stuff for the 1.9 in...

I did. Small drop of oil down no 3 cold, brought it up to 125 psi from 95 psi. Ran the engine for 5 minutes, then checked no3 again, and surprisingly still only 125 psi.
