Re: AAZ (1.9td) engine with JX (1.6) pump
The white one is just a coat hanger as I was trying to make a template for the engineer to try and replicate without seeing the actual engine. its was almost there, but clearly my part of the work wasn't as good as his

Re: AAZ (1.9td) engine with JX (1.6) pump

Re: AAZ (1.9td) engine with JX (1.6) pump
I should also add, when the engine was converted, from 1.6 to 1.9, as they used the old pump they must have redesigned the injection pipes as they didn't follow the usual path and it was only possible to 'Clip' two of them together. cyclinder 4 goes one way round the round thing (actuator i think) o...

Re: AAZ (1.9td) engine with JX (1.6) pump
Thank you for the responses both. The pipe sheared off as I was driving and i knew it happened as you loose literally all power. the garage I use, who specialise in VWs and have been working with them for years felt that as the injectors and pump are working already, its a more expensive route to go...

AAZ (1.9td) engine with JX (1.6) pump
I have managed to shear off another (3rd one) injection pipe, from pump to injector, and through many calls and some research, have found that my t25, when coverted to a AAZ 1.9, they kept the 1.6 JX pump. I cannot buy off the shelf pipes so I am going to try and get some flexible ones made, but to ...

very lumpy start, lots of blue smoke, no power at low rev
Hi, I have just had another 1.9td AAZ engine installed in my t25 after the last one cooked due to all the water leaking from the system. when the engine was changed, all the ancillaries had to be removed from the old engine and put on to the replacement engine. They also advised that new glow plugs ...

Heater, temp guage and starter warming lights
hi, a few issues that have come to light. i have an 82 water cooled, 1.9 TD [conversion] T25 [canadian/US import] Today, my heater was working until i stopped for about 10 minutes. there was a minor burning smell but assumed this was due to not being used for a few months. is there anything i can do...
