Re: Autohomes Kamper Roof rebuild
I built a new roof - getting a local firm to make a fibreglass roof cap and then fitting it out myself. I have posted a thread about it with photos. My advice if you are going to replace the roof is to measure, measure, and measure again. The most important bit is to get the gas struts in the correc...

Replacing cab mats with carpet - advice please
I am about to embark on recarpeting the front cab area of my van. I have ripped up the filthy orange carpet that was put down in 1986, and have taken up the rubber mat from the cab floor. Now I am wondering - do I replace the rubber mat and carpet over the top (like they did when converting the van)...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
I'm having some welding done at the moment and the mechanic scoffed when I told him how I intend to paint the van. I can't wait to try it out - am hoping it'll wipe the smirk off his face!
I really need a copy of the DVD though but none of the links I've found work. How can I get a copy?

Autohomes rigid pop top roof replacement - PICTURES!
We bought a 1986 T25 this summer, which was at a bargain price due to the rigid pop top roof being in a very sorry state. We were told that it wouldn't pop open because the gas struts were knackered, but in actual fact they were fine. It wouldn't pop open because the roof had rotted so badly, chunks...

Re: KAMPER CI poptop dilema
We were in the same position - bought a rust free bargain with a poor roof. Ours had good seals but the roof was rotten and sunken and leaked like a sieve! We found a local firm who have fabricated a new roof cap from fibreglass for us. We pick it up tomorrow. It's costing us £700 for him to build t...

Re: Camper conversions & insurance
Just bought our first T25 three weeks ago. We tried lots of insurers, including Just Kampers, but went for Lifesure as they were a lot cheaper. They specialise in campers and motor homes, asked for lots of detail about the van and conversion, and really seemed to know their stuff. They were recommen...

Re: Flooring advice please!
Have you put ply and lino all the way through? Or just in the living area? We've had a disaster in that the pop top roof developed a leak in the rain yesterday so we've had to rip the carpet up ahead of schedule! Need to order flooring asap but I still don't know whether lino would work in the cab o...

Flooring advice please!
I have read through all the flooring posts I can find on the forum, and have decided to replace the horrible stained carpet in our Van to altro lino flooring. My dilemma is how far down the van to use the lino? Do I just put lino in the living area, and have carpet in the cab, or should I put lino a...
