I had the same problem and have just changed all the bushes on the gearing along with the aluminium blocks and the fork ends. Has made a world of difference, no problem selecting gears and the box is nice and tight now. Got the bush kit off ebay for around £50 and the ally bits and fork ends off BW...

I've heard if you're careful and patient, the paint for rear heated windscreen repairs can be used to bridge the broken areas.

Not sure how flexible it is though so probably best to repair in place. Others may be able to confirm or better ideas.

Wireless just has the benefit of not having to route the wiring under carpets/units etc.

It's not really an advantage, just a convenience.

The screen is a pop up one so discrete when not in use, the rear camera I've mounted with 3M tape on the boot lip next the the number plate and the wiring runs in behind the number pl...
