Re: MOT brake fail 1% off!
As far as i know it's a roller. As for the rear valve, this is it http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volkswagen_LT_2.4_1985/p/Car-Parts/Brakes/Brake-Hydraulics/Valves-and-Pushrods/?130440350&1&2c22fa5f186fd494b5bf3f5e0f16e5494bfc8651&CMVV" onclick="window.open(this.href);return ...

Re: MOT brake fail 1% off!
Think i've figured out a cheeky answer! They have the van down as 2672kg. The only way they could get this figure is by weighing it? The logbook say different and he couldn't find the van on the dvla database - he had to start a new file. A: loose 50kg of junk and the same figures now equal over 50%...

Re: MOT brake fail 1% off!
Camper registered to class 4 :) It failed on a few other easy bits. Hazards not workong (loose fuse). Tail lights (duff earth) The best one was the 'simple' loose bolt on the rear roll bar... was rusted solid into the bush sleve. Have had to cut the holder to remove it then bash it out. Wasn't going...

We were in snowdonia last month. Camped 2 days on the forrestry site (miles of forrest/hill walking from the van) After that we moved to wild camping 1/2 mile up the road. Didn't see another human in 3 days Just up the road to snowdon http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5051/5397705951_614ca8bf94_z.jpg S...

Re: Halfway around Morocco
Does sound a lot for a guide between quite a lot of vans and camping but i can see the point of having back up even if it is from the other paying guests.
I quite fancy eastern Europe some time. I need more holiday days! I've got 24 days off in a row this year for Ecuador

Re: Caravan and camping club
We camp at cc rallies nearly every weekend during summer we have about 5 within 45 mins every weekend to pick from. We even use them in summer for full weeks when the temp holiday sites are on.
It's cheap, quiet (as in silent after 10) and they move every weekend.

Still having issues finding a site. Everyone is frozen solid!
No water or waste...
Think I'll just head to a camping club site. They have inside taps in toasty hot loo blocks at least
