Re: Coolant hose/sytem questions
Hopefully I'll have engine and gear box in over the next couple of weekends and finnish off the linkage.
Finger's crossed it'll fire up as well, will keep you posted.
Dropping the tank isn't that difficult, I did it a few weekends ago and was surprised how strait forward it is.

Re: First gear ratios
[quote="Smiffo"]Brilliant reply there Aidan.
Where exactly is the code on the gearbox, so that I could check also?
If it helps smiffo,
I could take a pic of the whole gearbox on the bench, pointing out the code location.

Early to late shift rod.
Hello, Please take a look at the image below. I need to find out if the bracket the early 4 speed shift rod went through is used on the later 5 speed set up? The bracket in question is above the fuel tank, towards the front. Thanks. http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a610/zxr750l1/5a70250b-86f5-4e8...

Re: From cable to hydraulic clutch.
Excellent, thanks for that pal.
Unfortunately I have the rubber flex hose, which I think goes into a bracket through a round hole and held in place with a fork type clip.
Very much appreciated the trouble you've gone to though mate.
PS
Excellent camera work there smiffo.

Here's some pics mm, I think an inner and outer skin will do it. I asked the original question because I thought it might of been neater but sounds like a lot of trouble. What panel make do you recommend for this job? http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a610/zxr750l1/door%20023_zpslmyv5mln.jpg http:...

Re: From cable to hydraulic clutch.
Top man smiffo,
I could do with a pic of the flex pipe bracket, to see where it's located.
Thanks again for your help.

Re: From cable to hydraulic clutch.
Thank's for that billy. Yes very tight against the coolant pipes. The van was originally a 1.6 CT, then converted to 2.0 CU. The gear box code is DK but it's cable clutch, others I've seen are hydraulic, were they made with both? I'm hoping to use the conduit that the cable ran through, for the copp...
