Steve,
Are you planning to move stuff into the new forum, or is it just for new threads?
My thread is ongoing: Typical Rusty Van Thread but could be an ideal candidate for the new forum...
Cheers

Re: ways to refresh a 30 year old interior?
Thanks for the pictures! Really appreciated, although it all looks very familiar! We have water damage in the sill, from the fridge too. Also seemingly from a window leak, as the back edge of he worktop is rotten too. The seat box carpet looks very neat, so we will definitely be doing something like...

Thanks Mike
Started stripping down the rear swing arm this evening, so once it's off I will see what there is to attach a jig to.

There's a later amendment to make them fit without trimming the grille.

Thanks mike - I couldn't find that thread when you pointed me towards it before!
I don't suppose you have a picture of the jig you made up to position the trailing arm mount do you? Or is it different for each job?
Cheers

Rear Swing arm mount / JP replacement - tips?
As part of replacing the inner and outer sill on the drivers side of my van (ie non-sliding door side) I am going to need to take the swing arm mount off and replace it. Firstly, is it best to remove the swing arm in order to replace the mount? if so... Secondly, does anyone have any tips or tricks ...

Re: Rust repairs on our van - all the usual places!
This weekend I haven't actually managed to cut any metal, mostly just prepared for sills. the campervan interior went from this: https://c8.staticflickr.com/8/7679/27534825911_db55b09699_c.jpg to this: https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7384/27607752115_e68244dabc_c.jpg so, just a van now then... Anyway,...

Re: Autohomes Kamper Kitchen Window Closure / Lock
I'm afraid I can't answer your question, but it does explain what the mystery bit of plastic I found in the van today was. I will investigate further tomorrow and update if I make any conclusions.

Thats an interesting idea. I have used ESP for interior gloss prep without sanding, but hadn't occurred to try it on the formica.

ways to refresh a 30 year old interior?
This evening I have mostly been stripping the interior furniture out of our Autohomes Kamper ahead of welding the sill back together. This is what it looked like before I took it apart: https://c8.staticflickr.com/8/7679/27534825911_db55b09699_c.jpg Before it goes back in, it will need some remedial...

grit/sand/media blasters for seams?
Several people have mentioned using small spot blasters to clean seams out and for small areas ahead of welding. Are people using grit or sand or another media (soda, etc)? Similarly, can anyone recommend a blaster that will work for small areas occasionally that I can run off my 50 litre belt drive...
