Devon side opening poptop fitting - pictures?
Evening, I have acquired a side opening roof to replace what is left of my autohomes roof. I bought the roof already removed from the van so didn't see how it came off. I managed to find a Devon at Busfest and had a good poke around and a chat with the owner about how it fits. However, I am wonderin...

Re: Doctor doctor, I keep poking holes in my campervan...
Incidentally, this is what my brother and I refer to as 'the screwdriver of doom'... you get a small (medium or large, depending on the project) screwdriver out to explore how far the rusty hole goes, and very soon you have poked it through far more steel than you ever intended to! It can all be fix...

Re: Dashboard - am I missing something?
James,
Sounds like you have more than me, with a temp gauge - but I guess that's cos mine is Aircooled...
I will take a picture tonight, but it sounds like I just have a low spec dash... I will stop staring at it expecting it to tell me something meaningful!
Cheers
Mark

Dashboard - am I missing something?
Took the van for a drive the other night, for the first time since we bought it... The speedo seems to work (although I don't believe the odometer does), however, I was slightly confused by the right hand clock... What is he main face of it supposed to be telling me? The fuel gauge at the bottom see...

Re: Pop Top Swop - Autohomes Kamper -> Devon Moonraker
Pete, I was reading that, just before I put this up, thinking I would need to check the strut mounts. I am a way off doing the swap on mine, so if you get a chance some pictures would be really helpful. I am slightly dreading removing the autohomes lower roof, as I am not sure what I am going to fin...

Pop Top Swop - Autohomes Kamper -> Devon Moonraker
I think I have just acquired a Devon Moonraker Poptop. Tha plan is to replace what is left of my Autohomes Kamper roof with the Devon roof. Can anyone see any flaws in this plan? Are there any issues with the original Autohomes conversion that would stop the Devon roof fitting? Are there any issues ...

Re: Rock n roll bed dimensions... Please help!
I was planning to ask exactly this question today too...
I assume width id pretty much determined by what furniture you have fitted, but I would like to know all the other dimensions, or if someone has a drawing, that would be excellent!
Thanks
Mark

I keep mine in a crash helmet protection bag in the cupboard. If nothing else it stops it getting full of grinder dust!

Air intake on CU engine?
Whilst poking about in the engine bay this afternoon, I noticed that there doesn't seem to be any pipe work attached to the air intake... https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5555/14847161730_111f586934.jpg Can anyone show me what should be here? Should there be ducting, or an airbox or filter? Cheers Mark

Is there a definitive air-cooled to water-cooled thread?
Evening, Despite only just acquiring my van, it is something I have had in the back of my mind for a long time. My intention was always to end up with a vag tdi engine in the back - having had a long string of golfs and audis, I really like both the pd and non-pd 1.9s. My thoughts were that a water ...
