I went for Suzuki swift versions on EBay. Look identical to the ones sold at CVC but a lot cheaper, maybe lesser quality to theirs maybe
Not taller but have a 3rd jet and fit the existing hole perfectly.
From memory I think the Caravelle double rear seat is just over 1m once the outer arm rests are removed. I’m sure the factory twin front seat is around 850 wide but I recall thinking that 900 could work without the captains drivers seat arm rest, I wanted to retain this so I removed 128mm from the w...
For reference, I’m running 2 petrol GTi converted vans with standard JX flywheels, one is a Gipsy running an AGG with 113bhp and 122 lb.ft and the other is a Syncro Doka with a 16v ABF with 150bhp and 132 lb.ft. I know it isn’t the original question but I’ve never had any issues with slipping and fe...
My method was a lot of work but I wanted to keep the arm rests for support and match the captains seat. https://i.imgur.com/u2SvlTZ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/08In7S8.jpg This is where I chose to lose the width. https://i.imgur.com/TKvfwt1.jpg https://i.imgur.com/LZwbAWL.jpg https://i.imgur.com/YYN8xaH...
I haven’t yet. My seat is off being trimmed at the moment and that’s my next bit. I ended up removing 128mm from a Caravelle rear twin seat and fitting it to a slider from a single seat with the tilt mechanism.

Looked on line out of curiosity
Am I mistaken or is that their spare ?
Peter
It certainly looks like the spare. Not sure why they would need anything other than the standard location with stock wheels. Unless they chose to carry two?
I realise that bullbars aren’t to everyone’s taste Especially innocent pedestrians and cyclists. Why someone would you intentionally bolt anything dangerous and unnecessary on the front of a vehicle is beyond me.... If it makes you happy :rofl Or drive a killing machine at all ;) I think we are all...
Terry's old Syncro had the spare wheel on the bull bar, original 14" pepperpot alloy, he didn't have cooling problems; you would be adding a fair bit of weight forward of the front axle which will affect the handling a bit; if the shocks and dampers are good it might not make much difference, ...
The JX engine has an electric water pump that is hooked up to a relay and a thermal switch. I believe this was to draw heat from the fragile cylinder head after engine shut down. This would fit the heater circuit pipes perfectly. https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/auxilliary-water-pump-t3-t4-1rib.html Not...
I realise that bullbars aren’t to everyone’s taste but I like it so intend to stick with it, I understand that insurance companies don’t like anything that is untested and non standard so to speak but I’m sure that if push came to shove there’s not many of us rolling round in standard vans with ever...
Hi all, I have a T25 Karmann Gipsy with a modest lift running 215/75 15 BFG all terrain tyres. My issue is that I’m looking to run a full size spare and having tried years ago to fit the same size in the standard location on my Syncro crewcab I choose to hide it under the rear seats instead. I have ...
This item: https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/track-rod-t3-aftermarket-6401.html I’d assume wear in the rack would transmit to both sides. The inner knuckles are just a ball and cup set up as far as I’m aware and very easy to change the whole track rod to eliminate play. Got to be worth a go. I have sever...
