fuel pump. wiring to pump fuel tanks are different. 2.1 has biilt in swirl pots. its all easy to fir though. or run on dg carb thats nice and easy

you cannot use golf gearbox. any inline petrol engine you will need all the diesel stuff. mount bars sump etc. these parts are not cheap aand getting harder to find.

sound like the belts not running in line. correct belt? correct tensoner? water pump pulley not excessive play ? belt routed right

exhaust blowing

had no panels replaced.

the boot doesnt hold the shaft clear. had same prob. removed shaft. grease both joints and fit shaft opposite way to which it came off. noise gone and had no probs since.

having big problems with the rear seams cracking. have had major paint 2 years ago and has been back to same shop twice for the o/s seams cracking. they have been repaired twice and each time they are fine for a couple of months yhen start to split right in the seam whee the panels join. previously ...

oil can pump in through oil feed pipe hole with pipe disconnected.

would cross high build off the list for that much coverage. from exp you will need to open the filler.

search out rowlesy on the yard. he had golf engine on autobox in his doka. see what he used. has a good build thread in bus park.
