Adaptor for Campingaz 30-50 mbar adjustable regulator
I have bought the below campingaz regulator to work with my 50mbar Truma heater, and to fit to my 907campingaz bottle. http://i508.photobucket.com/albums/s321/paddy737/regulator.jpg Does anyone know what type of adaptor I need, to fit the near end of the regulator to my 907 bottle? And as for the ot...

Re: 240v hook install ADVICE PLEASE!
I think the problem will be if you're on hook-up in some campsite and the campsite power goes down - your system will quietly switch to running through the inverter and you'll be none the wiser, and your leisure battery will be quickly emptying itself!!! Also, looking at your diagram - is that inve...

Re: 240v hook install ADVICE PLEASE!
I wouldn't bother with the inverter, tbh - and, if I did, I'd probably just do separate sockets. Or, for simplicity, just have separate sockets from the inverter so that you know you're working off the different (finite) source. 12v -> mains is inefficient, and only tempts you to use high powered e...

Re: 240v hook install ADVICE PLEASE!
So I have made up this wiring diagram. I have borrowed parts of it from a wiring diagram I found on the net. http://i508.photobucket.com/albums/s321/paddy737/VanWiring-modified.png I have all the 12V wiring completed already, I just need to finish the mains wiring. My plan is to have a mains rated (...

Re: 240v hook install ADVICE PLEASE!
I have also installed my mains hookup socket behind the number plate flap. As there is now a TDI behind there instead of a WBX, I dont have the coolant bottle and dipstick at the opening so I have room for the mains socket. http://i508.photobucket.com/albums/s321/paddy737/2203201529841.jpg With this...

Re: Reader Rides (trial thread)
I have not posted in this section yet so here goes: Here is my 1984 Caravelle Carat. When myself and my brother got the van, it was a carthago camper conversion with a 2.1 wasserboxer. My brother swapped the 2.1 for a 1.9TDI AFN, while I removed the old damaged interior, and installed my homebrew in...

Re: It came off in his hand...Sliding door handle problem
Mine broke in the exact same place. The sliding door handle is the one thing I hate most about T3's.
Mine was an 84, and it was an early handle, and I picked up a replacement from JustKampers, and swapped the barrel lock over.

Re: leisure battery
I was told the same thing in battery shops, and couldnt find any leisure battery on the internet low enough (175mm) to fit under the seat. So in the end I went with an 075 starter battery. there are a couple of more threads on leisure batteries in the "electrical and Instrumentation" secti...

Comet London cold tap leaking
The tap in my camper is leaking from the removable cartridge. I think it is a Comet London tap. The cartridge fits into the threaded part of the tap tightly, and the O-ring on the top of the cartridge seems in good condition. There is also a flat metal washer inside the body of the tap which I cant ...

Only 2 mile from lockes distillery, where you can sample an old dram or 2. Wood butchery is in the family going back a few years, maybe a wood turning lesson in return for some mig magic :D I used 12mm thick version of this http://www.strahan.ie/downloads/Film%20Faced%20Plywood.pdf for all timber p...

Water tank in same compartment as gas?
Hi, I have built my kitchen units for my camper. I was hoping to keep all utility items in the one sealed compartment to save space. That would be my water tank with submersible pump, and my campingaz 907 cylinder. Because the pump is a sealed submersible unit, there would be no risk of sparks. Ther...
