Just discovered that speedo cable is missing its clip where it goes through the dustcap on the nearside hub, have got clip now. Noticed that the dustcap spins freely, should it do this or should I give it a burr or two to stop it rotating? speedo was under-reading by 5mph, was wondering if rotating ...

Has anyone knowledge of the different styles of side elevating poptops? My recenty acquired '81 needs new gas struts and I'm struggling to know what to get. It's not a Devon or a Leisuredrive, has one strut at either end but may need two? It's the same as the one in the link below, anyone got one or...

Cheers CJH, appreciate the SGS information, I have heard them mentioned before and they sem to know their stuff.
Only problem is I go away in the van in a couple of weeks so need to just put the correct ones on, out of the box so to speak, if possible.

hi, new to the forum having just got my '81 1600 project. basically I'm wanting to find out who made the roof so I can replace the struts (roof won't stay up). its not a Devon but not sure whether it could be Danbury or Leisuredrive. my van is exactly the same colour and roof as the one linked below...
