So i've managed to find a new lock/key set online - but looking through previous posts on sliding door locks etc - wondered if I should also purchase a new handle...

Re: coolant gauge not moving
Ah sorry 1986, vw t25 1.9, petrol. After fiddling with wires around the thermo housing - pullet out and back in the 43 relay fuse- right now the needle is back to normal but the light no longer flashes even on ignition. Which one is the temp sender on the 1986? Yeah the coolant tank is full to the b...

Re: coolant gauge not moving
Apologies its a 1.9 petrol t25 - just had a new engine put in so it may well be that some wiring went mad during that...OK thanks ill have a go at that...anything else I can try while I'm routing around?
I take it I can't make a fix at the dash if the gauge has gone?
Thanks for your help

Golf conversion things to know
Hi My engine's (86 1.9 petrol) conked it and seems (considering my depleting bank supplies) I have a choice of an Elite Engine (the more I read the more I worry?) or entering the intimidating world of alternative engines. I have spent an hour or two going through long threads about conversions and a...

Re: Snapped v-belt, steam, hard shoulder time
Took it to the garage, engine's cooked! Was nothing to do with water pump in the end.
The bolts holding the alternator to the chassis had snapped, snapping the belt -- must have been too long driving with no water pump i guess...wasn't long. pretty gutted where do I go from here?

Snapped v-belt, steam, hard shoulder time
hi, taking my T25 1986 1.9 home last night - suddenly the temp hit up, steam coming from the engine, water dripping from the back, engine cut out. Some nice people helped me push the van over to the hard shoulder of the M25, had a look and the v-belt had snapped (was a 1 year old belt). Recently, th...
