Re: Stereo......Can you fit more than one set of tweeters?

Not only will they be very loud, high tones give the sound directionality. The aim for car hifi is to have the singer/centre stage to accoustically appear to be mid dash or in front of the screen. If you start adding multiple tweeter sources each side, this will blur any imaging you have - you will ...

Re: ICE installs!

I've built up quite a serious install over the last couple of years - not for the faint hearted - lots of dash cutting! I have squeezed a set of Image Dynamic horn tweeters into the dash front face where the heater vents used to be. Not got round to replacing them yet. There are CDT Eurosport 7"...

Re: Anyone with Porsche seats?

I've already got a smaller Momo wheel which I think was factory fitted to some T25s - any smaller and I would definitely need PAS, which I'm getting as soon as RJES has his kit available. Aesthetically, I also wouldn't want to go much smaller. I would have to go back to the original big diameter pla...

Anyone with Porsche seats?

I currently have BMW 330CI alcantara seats fitted in my T25 which are great apart from they are a couple of inches higher than the original VW seats. End result is it has put my steering wheel directly in the line of sight with the top half of my instrument binnacle. I've been looking at changing to...

Re: F45 awning bracket - fitting problem

Hi. Useful info. I'm wondering if the roof/gutter line is different between a tip top and a pop top. The brackets may be made for a pop top roof, and when fitted to a tin top, they do not sit properly in the gutter. The problem I had was the S shape bracket would not drop down inbetween the gutter a...

Re: F45 awning bracket - fitting problem

Hi. Thanks for the tips. Agent Fiamma knew nothing about fit problems.
Judicious use of a big hammer to reshape the S bracket to drop the bolt 5mm further down into the gutter and a tweek to the main bracket got it fitted.

F45 awning bracket - fitting problem

Just received my genuine T25 Fiamma awning brackets for the F45 but I cannot get them to fit to the roof. The gutter has a small step in the bottom along its length and this is preventing the S shaped bracket from fitting in correctly. Even without using the bolt, the two pieces do not fit together....

Re: removing silencer on 2.0 Aircooled

Hi, I did this a couple of years ago and if I remember correctly I had to drop 1 heat exchanger also - but then to do this, you had to remove most of that side's tin-wear!!! Reading the Haynes manual confirmed I was doing it correctly - "models vary, and it is complicated and there are too many...

Can't assist you with any diagnosis I'm afraid, but I had the same opinion with my old 2.0 Aircooled - now have a 2.5L Forester XT Turbo engine installed approaching final stages of completion

Re: Porsche 16" boxster alloys

Regarding "are the wheels up to it?": On the back of genuine Porsche alloys you will find a number along the lines of 4750N - this is refering to the (recommended) load capability of the wheel. On the Boxster and 911 alloys I looked at, this was a typical value = 480kg in real terms. No po...

Re: SS Nuts On SS Bolts?

I just happen to be dealing with this issue at work at the moment - thousands of pounds of research going into researching this. The issue is known as galling and it is most common with identical grade stainless bolt and nut. It is usually an issue if you've over-torqued the nut in the first place. ...

Hi. There must be plenty of posts on this already but a good start would be http://www.rjes.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. I believe there is a list of compatible engines for use with this bellhousing.

Re: Brake Compensator Valve

I've been trying to find out the specification of this part - can anyone let me know exactly what it does? I know it is inertia based pressure relief valve but could anyone let me know the spec. (pressure switch points etc.). Thanks, Nic
