Re: T25 Youtube channels
Thanks! It was the distinct lack of suspense on the part of the crane that had me looking for a new pair of jocks!

Re: AHU with stock gearbox
Thanks lads. My intercooler won't fit behind the light cluster so I'll have to be more creative. I'm thinking it might fit over the gearbox widthways in the engine bay and I could bring some ducts up to it from under the van to direct some cold air to it. I've kind of made a decision anyway to do th...

AHU with stock gearbox
Hi folks. My AAZ has had its last adventure in the camper and has essentially past the point where I feel I can trust it to not let us down in spectacular fashion. So I picked up an AHU with low enough mileage and a modified harness. I have it in my means to put this engine in and make it work but m...

Re: Electric water pump
Don't. Just replace it. You won't be able to clean it effectively. Trust me as a person who spent ages trying to track down overheating issues after flushing the rad several times only to replace it and completely cure the problem. I know they're pricey enough but it's money well spent. Then when yo...

Key cutting to a code
Hi folks, Anyone know where I can get the key code for the locks in my van? I fixed 2 of the locks that could be opened by any key and they're working perfectly now. I swapped the levers from the old tumblers into new housings meaning I still have the same key for all locks. I didn't see a key code ...

Re: Electric water pump
1y pump is well able for the job as has been said. If there is a serpentine belt, as in a flat belt, the pump spins the other way than it does with the v belt arrangement, hence a different pump. It runs off the back of the belt. I only changed my radiator after chasing overheating issues and flushi...

Re: 1990, 1.9 T25 cuts out sporadically
Electrical resistance increases with heat. A coil could certainly be causing your issue. As you say start by replacing that. Beyond that I would recommend getting a can of good contact cleaner like servisol super 10 and open any connectors of components that could be causing this issue and clean the...

Re: cooling system hassle
Well I bled the system fully last night and let the last of the air out of it. Much easier process with the new rad. Left the engine ticking over for a while as I tidied up my tools, heard the rad fan click on and off again, and the rad was fully hot. Drove it into work this morning - a 40km journey...

Re: cooling system hassle
I set about changing the rad today. As soon as I got the old one off I pulled the side off it to have a look. It was full of gunge and half the cooling channels were blocked. The new one was so much handier to bleed than the old one. Just goes to show those flushing agents don't really work. http://...

Re: cooling system hassle
Moreso it depends on whether or not I was given what I asked for. I asked for and I believe fitted a jx pump but I want to double check when I have the coolant drained to do the radiator.

Re: cooling system hassle
Well when I got the engine the pump ran off the back of the belt but I've since changed the pump. I just want to make sure I have the right pump though, in case I was supplied with the wrong one.

Re: cooling system hassle
How can identify if the pump is turning the right way without just replacing it on spec. A rad is already €140. I don't want to spend an extra €60 if I don't have to. Anyway I have the original serpentine pulleys from the engine and the alternator so if I need to I can swap them over. I did replace ...

cooling system hassle
This is cracking me up. I have been chasing cooling system issues on the van for god knows how long now, having replaced the water pump, replaced the thermostat, flushed the rad twice, done the head gasket twice, replaced the head and still it continues. As it stands now, I flushed the system yester...
