Re: Mk 1 Golf steering wheel fitted to T25

If you attach the input to the switch contact to the outside of the colum & it works then that would indicate a problem with the horn switch to me. If you are connecting the normally open contact & it works when you press the horn button then it appears you have the same problem as previous...

Re: Mk 1 Golf steering wheel fitted to T25

Hi there I know this thread is a while old but I've installed my unit and I'm having issues with earthing of the steering column. If I touch the horn contact to the outside of the Collum it works, which indicates that there is a each issue with the shaft earth. Does anyone have any ideas? Cheers, Ben.

Re: 1.9 WC Drinking Oil

If rings are worn, the oil will create a partial seal during the compression test (its not turning over fast lets face it) but this all changes on the road. Try a white piece of paper over exhaust outlet - that sometimes gives an indication of oil seeping past rings. What colour are the plugs? Ahhh...

1.9 WC Drinking Oil

Hi all, i have a 89 1.9 WC engine and it seems to drink a LOT of oil. it probs uses about 5ls every 1000 miles. I have done a compression test and all cylinders are the same about 120psi. It smokes on start up but once warm is ok, what could it be? is it likely to be the valve stem seals? Thanks in ...

Re: Anyone with 17" Porsche Cup wheels? please help

Hi, sorry to post about 2 years later... but where the cup wheels 5x112? did they only require adapters? and also did you have any issues with the hub size?

Thanks,

Ben

Re: t25 sliding door

Hi there, How much does the door open by? If it opens a little but does not slide, then it might be the roller bearings, be careful as one of the rollers is in-cased in a housing this can wear with time and split. when it splits it will mean that you door is likely to fall off when you open it! - Th...
