I have the 1.6 td the oil pressure switch is at the top of the engine at the rear of the head and the second one (if fitted) is on the oil filter housing.

I'll take some pics today, has he left the double one off and just kept the single?, mines a double with power steering but it has a single pulley under it, like the double is a converter rather than a replacement.

I've seen why I have been going wrong, I have been looking at the incorrect mark on the crank, the lug in the 1st picture isn't a timing mark, and the second is. image.jpg image.jpg These marks are quite close together and the 1st one is more of a prominent mark, if I had seen the correct mark first...
