Re: How do you separate the front lower lip to replace it
I have some wurth spot drill bits but my drill is too fat to get a decent angle of approach to drill the spots, especially as some of them seem very close to the inner edge. Even with an angle adapter on the drill the chuck still fouls on the front panel. How have others managed to drill them out?

Re: How do you separate the front lower lip to replace it
If it helps, this is the bit I bought from schofields to repair it: http://www.alanhschofield.com/ourparts/prod_2505171-Lower-Front-Panel-Repair-80-251805036.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I haven't yet made any progress (my back has been playing up again) but I have g...

Hi CovKid, sounds like a major pain in the backside whichever way it has to be done. Thanks everyone for the input, hoping to tackle it this weekend.

How do you separate the front lower lip to replace it
As per the title. I need to replaced the very rusty front lower lip (the bit behind the bumper) I have the schofield part here ready to go in but I cant get my drill in close enough to the body to drill out the spot welds, my angle grinder wont get in there because of the bumper lip and I have a fee...

Sliding door side rear arch repair
Hi Peeps Been a while since I have posted as I haven't touched the van for over a year thanks to my back surgery. Went out today to poke some rusty bits and the arch on the rear passenger side drained like a paddling pool when the poker went through it. So I cut it out to investigate. Looks like the...

Re: Lost power on motorway. Ignition permanent live fault
Just popped out for 5 minutes to check it. 12.7v at the incoming spade terminal on the back of the fusebox. 12.7v halfway along the feed to the ignition and 12.6v at the ignition! (not the 5.8/ 5.9v I was getting earlier) Could the cable behave differently under load? i.e. could the resistance be in...

Lost power on motorway. Ignition permanent live fault
Hi Everyone I went off this morning and did some work at my MD's house. Then left and hit the motorway. All of a sudden I felt the van start slowing down, wipers stopped wiping. All the dashboard lights went off. Turning the ignition key from off to on made no difference. The oil light would sometim...

Re: New immobiliser. Issue with wiring..cannot fathom why
Ok So it was a combination of one of the switched lives dropping below 9v when cranking and the other one going to 0v when cranking! Doh Now all wired in with 2 circuits being interrupted and it behaves as it should Thanks for your help syncronized, I was tearing my hair out yesterday. I even ended ...

Re: Van Insulation
I used a roll of this stuff for all of the metal panels along with flashband: http://www.ybsinsulation.com/superquilt.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Then for the hightop I just used the double foil bubble wrap and hightemp contact adhesive. Seems to have done a pretty ...

Re: Battery box??
I meant to add, if it is that part then it might be worth asking metalmick8y nicely if he will make you up a replacement. The part I had from him was much better quality than the pattern parts.
