Re: VW caravelle bed

Just had another look, and looks like he used ply and painted it. You could cover it with carpet or whatever to dress it up a bit, and either two separate covered foam mattresses or one rolled up like his :ok

Re: VW caravelle bed

You have the same problem as me, I have a seat from a multivan but not sure if I want to swap it with my original rear seat. There is a video on youtube that shows a rear t3 seat folded down with what looks like marine ply attached to the back, once folded, you need to make a platform over the engin...

Re: stereo help

Also plays a cd,fast forward, skip etc....just no sound, which suggests to me that it's not locked ? You can go into a security section and put a code in........but I don't have it anyway. Maybe the speaker plug has come away from the back of unit ? I did have a feel around but didn't notice anything ...

Re: stereo help

When it turns on, everything seems to work, all the functions, fade, balance, amp, volume, all the settings etc.... But it does come on with "code off" for a second or two. Not sure wether that means it needs a code or not. I will try and hook a speaker up independently to see if if its the spe...

stereo help

Hi. I've got a kenwood stereo in my doka and need some advice. I've got no sound coming from the unit, speakers are all connected and seem to be fine. I suspected at first that maybe the head unit was locked ( and I don't have a code) but all of the functions on the unit seem to work. My question is...

Re: tonneau bars

Thanks for that Ade, wasn't sure what kind of steel they use. If I have no luck, are the ones you sell specific to a doka ? or would you need some measurements from me ? Please don't take offence as it's not meant personally, but I'm a bit surprised at how much each they are  But I appreciate y...

tonneau bars

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w495/mickalova1/tarp%20bars_zpsbulaouz4.jpg Hi, hoping someone will know what kind of steel I would need to use to get someone to make up these simple bars for under a tonneau cover. Hoping it's a simple(and cheap )job. Unfortunately you can't buy them, so need t...

rear tail lights

Hi, anyone know if rear tail light assembly for an 89 syncro doka is the same as 89 van ? I would imagine they should be, but years ago I bought a second hand rear tail light off a syncro ( I think it was anyway) and it wasn't exactly the same. From memory I think I bought just the lense cover, or h...

Re: fitting tyres

I think your right Herb, seems some people can't be bothered. Took the tyres to a third garage this morning and left them with him. Sure enough, within half hour I was on my way back to collect them as he couldn't do them. But in fairness he was a nice guy and told me to take them to a place called d...
