Re: I need a good Garage near Ashford Kent read on
Ive always found D and Ds to be good when using them for my cars, infact it was them that failed my van on its MOT but I found them very sympathetic towards the van and didn't fail it on the holes in inner sills or the state of the outriggers as I guess they don't deem it to be part of the chassis. ...

Re: I need a good Garage near Ashford Kent read on
I live Ashford myself but I'm afraid I haven't used any garages for the van as yet. Not really sure of any advice to give. I'd imagine it couldbe relate to the new pump? Perhaps your dalek cap was on the way out (I believe it works on pressure, venting into the expansion tank) and when a new pump wa...

Re: vw t25 rocker covers and gasket
I would normally soak the cork gaskets in warm water and then fit them. So that once in they contract for a tight seal. How does contracting help the cover is spring loaded? You know I can't think of a single way contracting would help so I'm not really sure where I was going with that. Although a ...

Re: Restoring / 'nourishing' leather seats
I use Pecard Leather Dressing for my leather stuff. Very good, very nourishing and used to revitalise antique leathers (i use it on my vintage leather sofa and it keeps it soft and supple). I've found that modern leather cleaning stuff is pretty rubbish.

Re: plug for radio ??
Ha. Sorry I totally forgot to get back to you. I must have been distracted by finding both inner sills rusted through and the front outrigger(?) made of soft digestive biscuit. I took the radio out, it is a different model of Panasonic and right at this moment, I can't remember if the plug was the s...

Re: 1.9 DWG won't start
What's it doing when you try to start it, noises, lights, is their fuel in your filter. You say they gave it a clean, what did they clean? The engine, the outside or did you mean clean bill of health. Did the cover the dizzy when / if they cleaned the engine? I'm afraid there's not really much to go...

Ahh so you must be the guy selling the bed on my watch list then!
I'd stick up some pictures of what you have (you mention an attatched pic but can't see any) and I'msure someone can work it out.

Re: T25 won't start up unless left 1 hour
Just thinking aloud to my self. There could be a chance the coil is getting hot. When this happens it will cause weak or intermittent spark. Letting it sit for an hour would let it cool down and be OK until it got hot again. I completely agree. Due to heat theres expansion, like a dry joint in solde...

Re: High revs.
Mine does it too, not sure why, though it mightbe the pull down valve thing, whatever it's called. I just blip my throttle and then it'll idle slow and low.
When I say blip, I meant push it flat for a second or 2.

Re: Help please, serviced van now it won't start!
And only ever replace one lead at a time - less chance of messing up. Its worth drawing a simple map on a sticker in engine bay. This is the best way to make sure they're right but if you do take them all off simply make take the dizzy cap off, make sure you're at TDC and whereever the rotor arm po...

Re: Help please, serviced van now it won't start!
I had this when I was 180° out when changed my leads. Had the right order, just counted from the wrong start point :-P Have you tried putting old dizzy cap on, just to eliminate the new one not being duff, missing slightly? I mean if they sent you the wrong rotor arm, who knows what else they've sen...
