Re: Stretch type front seat covers

Can't remember where I got them, but when we were kite surfers, we opted for some water proof ones. They were brilliant, great for, very tough, didn't ruck up. They were plain grey and were great around the arm rests So in summary, brilliant kit that I can't remember the name of our where I bought t...

Re: Failed MOT - rear seat belts

if you want to bring the lower control arms over once they are off I have the correct tools to press the ball joints out and the new ones in Jim, your van should have cast arms Cheers for the kind offer mate. But after faffing about on my back in the cold, I've opted for the easy option to get it b...

Re: Failed MOT - rear seat belts

From Wikipedia: Rear seat belts became compulsory equipment in 1986. It became compulsory for children aged 14 and under to wear a seatbelt in the rear in 1989, and for all adults to wear a seatbelt in the back of a car in 1991. Appreciate the input, and I also fully endorse elements of safety. How...

Re: Failed MOT - rear seat belts

I'm not a tester, but I have seen the manual and it is open to interpretation erring on the side of belts being needed. However, the tester who sent me the pic of the page on the manual says its harsh if my usage is as i say it is and the tester could have given benefit of doubt - easier said than d...

This did actually cross my mind.

I'm now wondering how I'm fixed as the fail is now on the system
I can't simply take it somewhere else surely!

Failed MOT - rear seat belts

Having passed no problem for the last 6 years, it has failed for having no rear seat belts. Bit miffed but fair enough, can't blame a bloke fir being diligent. But now I need to sort it, even though we don't really use them - and knowing they'll get chewed because they snag in the bed mech. Wish I k...

Same. Kind of, anyway. A piece of quality ply about 6x6". Not shown here. Plus this prevention accessory shown below; l removed a clickety driveshift and repacked it with grease on a tour of the Highlands in 2017. Happy days, they were. :) Not ideal, tbh! https://i.imgur.com/xvP0sGZ.jpg If tha...
