I'm gonna give it a go. If all else fails, I can get a second hand one.
Thanks for the advice

Re: Snapped gear stick!
I thought that too, but the garage said the metal was too poor quality to weld. At £71 for a new un, I'd rather go the second hand route!

Snapped gear stick!
Folks,
I have a 1.9 DG with a snapped gear stick (halfway up the shaft)! Am I correct in thinking all gearsticks are the same? If so, any ideas where I should go for a second hand one?
Cheers

Seat plastic hinge cover thingys!
Hi, I've seen some vans in 'the garage' that have seats with triangular(ish) plastic covers where the back rest is bolted to the seat base (basically the hinge area). Mine hasn't got any of these and is starting to look a bit scruffy round there. Are these VW fitted jobbies? If they are, I'll put an...

A gear linkage kit would be ace, but I can't seem to find one (or more accurately don't know where to look!)

Sloppy Gears
Hi Folks, My gearshift seems to have gone a bit sloppy recently. Whereas I could once change gear without sandwiching my fingers between gearstick and dashboard, now I no longer can! :? I've been told its probably worn bushes? If it is, can they be replaced and more importantly could someone give me...

Re: Exhausted looking for a new exhaust!
I'll second the JP recommendation.
Just had one fitted to mine, similar price to what you have quoted. Looks and sounds great.
Break out the (in)flexible friend, you won't regret it!!

Talbot mirrors
Anyone fitted these to their bus? Fancied doing something a bit different, but not sure if they'd do the job. Failing that, will probably do the corrado mods if the adapters mentioned on here before get sorted. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRAND-NEW-CHROMED-TALBOT-SYLE-WING-MIRROR-CONVEX-GLASS_W0QQitemZ320...
