A bit OT but I was up at Loch Sunart last weekend and saw a van pretty much identical to yours. Wasn't you was it?

Hi Keith, Thanks for the reply mate, I was referring to the drain plug (smaller on in your pic) I associated the "sump plug" as being the on the strainer plate. so all clear now (think I was just looking for problems :wink: ) only the smaller drain plug needs removing, i'll need to get hol...

Sounding like a donkey here but the link only mentions the sump plug, what about the drain plug?

Guys,

Planning on changing the oil, replacing the plugs on the van today.

Should I be removing the sump plug aswell as the drain plug? And if so what size of copper washer do I need for the sump plug?

Is anything else required for the drain plug?

van is a 1982 2.0 a/c

Great thanks Guys! Just off to the pumps now!

Apologies if this is a repost but struggling to find a definitive answer after searching.

Can I run my van on normal unleaded or do I need to add a suitable lead replacement additive?

This is my first day with the van so dying to get out in it, need petrol first though

Great, thanks for advice Matt, picked up on the 3rd gear point when I was driving it on Saturday, felt funny leaving it in 3rd as usually your up in 4th/5th in a "modern" car but loved driving it, as you say it sounded great.

Hopefully picking it up tomorrow! Cant wait!

Ive taken the plunge and bought it! Should hopefully be picking her up either tomorrow night or Thursday! Cant wait!

One owner from new and 94,000 on the clock. Mot'd and Taxed until July.

No pics yet will be the weekend before I get to see the van again. Its yellow lower half and white upper with a black band seperating the two. Bike rack on the rear. Its looks in very good condition.

Hello All, First post! I'm looking at buying a T25 Devon, i'm new to the whole camper van scene so not sure on the exact spec is whether its water or air cooled. I'm going to view it this weekend, ive had a brief look at it and bodywork and interior looks good, not had a chance to have a look undern...
