Re: offside tail light fault - fuse keeps blowing
Thanks for that. Not had chance to look tonight but I think I'll try disconnecting the spur and see what happens. The front lights are on a separate circuit, but I think the number plate lights are on the same fuse so will check that out too. What I don't understand though; if is for the tow bar ele...

offside tail light fault - fuse keeps blowing
Hi, Having trouble with my offside tail light. I noticed it wasn't working tonight due to blown fuse (1983 1.9 camper so fuse no 2-8A). I replaced the fuse and it popped again. I changed the bulb, same result. I assume that the earth to the cluster is ok as the rest of the lights work fine (brake, s...

Re: how do i check split charge
Ah great, nice and easy.
Is there a way to check that the lb has disconnected from the starter battery when engine stopped so I'm sure I'm not using both?
Thanks again.

Evening. After a 9 month refurb, my van has 12 months mot and finally ready for its first weekend away. There's still much to do, but it's on the road. when I bought the van, it had most of the wiring in place for the split charge, but it had all been disconnected. I've hooked it all back up again b...

Re: 2 brake light switches?
I got up early and messed with the wiring some more, cleaned the contacts into the back of the fuse box and it seemed to do the trick. Will keep an eye on them and see how we go..
Oh, and it passed. Straight through first time of asking.

2 brake light switches?
Evening, Does anyone know why there are 2 brake light switches? I've got the mot tomorrow and the brake lights have packed in. I got them working briefly and noticed that when I disconnected the switch nearest the steering wheel, the lights still worked? Was thinking of swapping the 2 switches about...

will this coolant do?
Hi, Need to flush the coolant on my van, is this the right spec for renewal? http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/engine-oils-and-car-fluids/antifreeze-and-screenwash/red-antifreeze/?523770482&0&cc5_866 Also, the main front to back steel coolant hoses are looking suspect so goin...

fuel tank refit
Evenin' Been doing some welding so had the tank off. It's clearly been off before because half of the pipes weren't connected to anything and the plastic fittings were sheared off etc so had to get some new bits n pieces. So, looking for some guidance on how it goes back in. I've read the wiki but c...

LED wiring
Morning all,
Bought some LED lights from Ikea for the van and just wondering how you connect them all up to run off one feed?
I've got 2 down lighters for the back of the van and one strip light for the 'living' area.
Also, I'm gonna use 1.5mm wire, what size fuse should I use?
Thanks

Re: split charge help
No idea what was in, there's nothing in there now and I'm planning on keeping it that way really. Just gonna put the bed and rear storage back and and leave it at that.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

Re: split charge help
Ah, thanks. Will give it a whirl and hope it all fires up. Don't understand why someone would disconnect everything in the first place? Any idea what the wire coming from the 40amp fuse might be for? It comes down through the same shrouding used to house the wire which runs from the relay to the alt...
