Re: cant turn 1970 Aircooled to static time distributor
There is, the number plate flap at the back, all you need to take off is the plastic mesh thing held on with three bolts covering the fan and then you can put the socket pretty much straight into the center of the fan where the bolt is (its in the middle of the 3 bolts)

Re: T25 OIL CHANGE - Best place to buy

Re: broke down...engine blown?
Sorry my thought with the tappets was if the adjusters had been over tightened they would be holding the inlet valve open, hence giving some where for the ignited gases to go. won't have to crank it if you do a leak down test though, you'll just have to turn the engine to tdc with a socket on the nu...

Re: broke down...engine blown?
*firstly do a compression or leak down test* Well considering Boxy has experienced this and it was a dropped valve seat I think i'd lower the engine on a jack (and then stabilize with large bits of wood, bricks or anything sturdy) but not detach, so you could pull off the head from the side that the...

Re: 2.0 cu running problems
Have you checked your fuel pump is delivering enough fuel? sounds like you're using up more fuel than its putting into the bowls. Then when you ease of the throttle it can then catch up and is fine for a while until your back hard on the throttle. Or it could just be some C*#p in the fuel line somew...

Re: A throttle question
to set the throttle you need to undo the cable holder in the engine bay, have someone press the throttle pedal to the floor and then re-attach the cable holder with the carbs being full open. I've got the same issue as you and haven't yet had a chance to do this but found it on one of the posts the ...
