Thanks mike, yeah ive search and as you said a lot of stuff missing on this subject

Hi was taking out wind screen today and found the usual rust holes waiting for me . Is there any post and pictures on how to remove the upper front panel for replacement and at the same time do i need to remove the dash ..thanks in advance for all help

Thanks for your replies ..i have drilled all the holes much the same as in the picture in the rail but still cant get it off the panel....any advice on how to do this....

Im at the stage where im cutting out rust a d bad metal, i need to remove the centre track to allow me to see what behind it . And replace the panel i'm sure i saw a post by mike with measurements marked out on the new panel ..does any body know which post this was

Thanks for the info on the roof ive had a good look around and inside it seems to me as an add on, I can see lots of rivets comming through the roof edges also the hole in tne roof is very crued and approx 48x 50 in size

I have a 1.6 diesel 1986 transporter, I have changed the eath straps a new battery , new glow plug relay and fuse link wire. The ignition turns over tbe engine but no power getting to the fuel solenoid which works if I hotwire it ... I have found out today by pressing on some of the block connectors...

So mike do sell these panels as I think I'll be needing these . I will be up loading pics of my project for the want of a better word .... but at least I have seen her at her worst .. and with your help we will hsve her looking good again.
