Yeah had a read through that thanks. Did you know that the link shown under 'Propex will not fire up' doesn't work?
I'm off now to have another play with it.

Re: Leisure battery OK?
Mmmm, thanks Kid, you might be on to something - the last owner had an oversize battery and it didn't fit under the seat so he extended the wiring. My new battery fits under the seat (just) so I might undo his handy work to see if that helps. Will get back to you tmrw.

Leisure battery OK?
Just bought a new 100ah leisure battery for my Autosleeper, so that I can fire up the propex on cold nights. I gave the battery a really good charge before fitting and it was reading 13.7v when I put it on. The propex fired up OK and ran for 5 minutes until it reached the desired temperature, then i...

Re: Throttle flat spot has got worse!
This thread describes is what is happening to my van. Had a look in the engine bay and I've seen a couple of 'wet' patches (see pictures). Does this indicate any other probs? ..... or confirm the diagnosis? http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll193/LSW41N/T25/008_zps1t0yjsbu.jpg http://i288.photobuck...

Re: gears
I've got exactly the same problem - it has got progressively worse over the last couple of weeks and so I'm gonna tackle it tomorrow. Gearbox oil is good, so any particular brake/clutch fluid recommended?

reluctance to go into reverse when warm
Lots of threads on gearbox's and good info on Wiki, but I can't find anything that matches my problem: 1.9 DG engine, 4 speed box in a Autosleeper High Top. When I begin my journey, ALL gears change fine. After warming up (10 -15 mins of driving), still no probs with forward gears but there is a rea...

Re: Does Propex heater need mains electric?
Hi Kev. I bought the van last September and was told that the leisure battery gets a charge when the van is running. Plus the green light on the zig tells me that the charge is good whenever I check. Apart from that, this is the first time I've taken it off to charge it.

Re: New Alloys on my 91 Transporter
Good choice Bonno. What you gonna do about centre caps? You can get away with the black cap on the fronts, but need something on the rears - I'm facing the same problem and don't know what to do.

Audi Alloys - 66mm centre bore
I've seen a lot of references to the centre bore of Audi wheels being 57mm. Just wanted to let you know that I've nabbed a cheap but very nice set of 17" Audi A5 alloys with a centre bore of 66mm - is this widely known, or a relatively new mod to Audi alloys? All the maths add up (PCD / Offset ...

Re: Does Propex heater need mains electric?
Right then, leisure battery readings as follows: a) Vehicle standing 'as is': 12.4 v b) Vehicle standing but plugged in to mains: 13.1 v c) Vehicle standing but with Propex on: 12.2 v d) Vehicle with engine on: 13.2 v With this in mind I gave the leisure battery a good charge (reading for 'a' is now...

Re: Does Propex heater need mains electric?
Kev the rev - yep, got the standard zig on Auto Sleeper conversion. The battery indicator is showing as good (green light) but not sure how accurate these things are? I will follow Ringo's advice and measure the various outputs on the leisure battery and get back to you. Thanks again guys - this sit...
