Temperature gauge/red flashing light
Hello. My problem is that the red flashing light AND the temperature gauge both go haywire, together, at the same time, intermittently. The light will start flashing and the gauge will move right up to boiling. It might stay that way for 5 seconds or 5 minutes or much more. The radiator and the cool...

Is that in the middle of the driver's cab or the middle of the living bit? Thanks

Re: Internal petrol heater
It would be better to identify what you have in there first - put up a picture and we will go from there. It may have anything put in there in the last 30 years. May not even be an Eberspächer. Could you give me an idea where I get to this unit? Is it from inside the cab? Is there a panel under the...

Re: Internal petrol heater
Yep and Type 25's till around 87 then the B2L or BBW46 water heater They were in Type 2 s in the '70s mainly though. And they were not mounted in the interior. Have the manual for that if that is what you have. (Definitely no spares for those oldsters though) If it was factory fit it was an Eberspäc...

Internal petrol heater
Hello. I have an imported from Germany 1984 T25 Westfalia with an interior petrol heater. Would anyone know what sort of heater it might be? It seems to be quite basic - a green twist knob under the dash, and a hot air vent where the driver's cab steps down to the living quarters. The motor whirrs b...

Re: Overheating??
Thanks very much to everyone who wrote in to offer advice. I've sort of fallen out with the garage who've replaced everything, thermostat, coolant cylinder, fan, temp sender so I guess I'll just have to live with it. Thanks again

Re: Overheating??
Thanks to everyone who responded. I probably didn't make the situation crystal clear. The red light's stopped blinking now but once the thermostat and the sender were changed, the temp gauge then started to stay at 3/4. might be worth a look? They all refer to the blinking red light which doesn't se...

Overheating??
For 13 years the temperature gauge has always been perfect - bang on upright. Then I had the flashing red light problem. After 3 expensive sessions at the local garage, the expansion tank, the thermostat, the radiator switch and now, most recently, the radiator fan have all been replaced. It's been ...
