have you checked the idle cut-off solenoid?
I had a similar problem and replacing the solenoid did the trick.

I bought two sets from them, and both, as in all eight, rusted in WEEKS!
but to fair, what do you expect for the price?

the pump can be checked in a flash. unbolt it , remove the outlet pipe, depress the actuating lever with your thumb. fuel should spew out . if all ok, check the carb float chamber and shutoff valve for water/ dirt/blockages. sometimes the fuel evaporates and leaves a sticky residue which prevents th...

the correct way to remove shear bolts is to drill through the bolt, just as you did.
they are not meant to be re-used.

The squeal isn't uncommon either. Mine does it EVERY winter without fail. Pulley wheel is slightly polished and the damper air makes the belt slip. It could be that the line into the fuel tank doesn't reach the bottom of the tank so I am keeping her topped up until the mechanic can sort that There is no 'line into the tank' it is a metal outlet (and inlet opposite) that's a part of the tank itself. Yes its normal to have water trapped If you flushed it it should be just water in there Assuming you put your neat coolant in then you now have approx 50% mix as the whole system is about 16L Kits Brickwerks sel are for the later carb so give gowe and lee a call if you read the post in the link tha...
