I would repair the 1y and get to spend some time getting to know what you have bought before investing too much in a costly conversion, who knows you might even like the 1.9?

I have replaced almost all my front bushes with Powerflex and I can honestly say I have not noticed any difference.

New horn from Brickwerks works a treat, put a continuity test on the old one and it appeared to be dead tried it latter it was ok and again latter dead again, must have been an intermittent fault, thanks for the advice I think rewiring and a relay are in order.

A different to the last post intermittent horn

I have a different intermittent problem that the horn will sound once and then no power is registering at the steering wheel or one side of the horn, there is power going in and sometimes on both sides but often only one, I have ordered a new horn from a reliable source the current one came from JK ...

Still trying to master this welding thing, currently pretty good at tacking but struggling to do continues seams, any way so far I have got through bottles of "hobby" gas in about 2 hours of welding am I doing something wrong?

Thanks, as you say the original is much more solid than the replacement so I think cut and shut is the way forward, oh and it is diesel so need to remove the tank I hope.

Probably a silly question but here goes, I have rust around the filler cap proper push your finger through but the rest of the arch is pretty solid and rust free, I bought a repair panel and wondered if I cut out the rust could I just fit the whole panel over the top of the existing or should I just...
