I never bothered with a "leisure batt. I used a Bose car starter battery and it never failed. I could jump start the van off it, if needed. Makes more sense to me.

Hi just bought some 16inch Audi Alloys to go on my type 25, I have put spacers on front and back, the only problem ive got is that I cant get the centre caps on the front so speedo wont work. Is there anyone with any ideas.... Thanks You have to get the centres machined out to fit over the centre c...

Sorry, I found the poles at work, and the material is an old camp bed. I just screwed the brackets onto the door, above the door card with big self tappers. :ok

Thanks 1664. made this myself. 2 alloy poles, piece of material, 4 cup brackets from camping shop, Self tappers into doors.

But if you buy a true deep cycle battery like a trojan it will last for 1o years but still have the cranking power to start a lorry
My bose bat is 3 yrs old and as good as new.If you wild camp all year round the trojan might be worth the big bucks. :wink:

I Use a bose starter batt, I can jump start my bus, or anything else around,Cant really see the point in a "leasure" battery :wink:

i believe she said she 'lost' money on it,. & was very honest when she sold it.. :( you shouldn't be buying a Bay without knowing what you're looking for anyway, new owners got a good deal & it had more things going for it than rust, i really hope she has better luck this time, kate I Agree...

I Had exactly the same thing, Mine turned out to be the return pipe which was a braided hose, And only leaked when i switched the engine off.

The only way to undo this bolt is from the engine bay. the foto you show with the flat bit on locks its self when you start to undo it from inside the engine bay. 2 minuet job :wink:
